Reports suggest Pittsburgh Steelers 2024 rookie jersey numbers

The Pittsburgh Steelers welcomed seven new drafted players in the 2024 NFL Draft, and for many fans who love the intricacies of new players, their jersey numbers are a big part of the intrigue with new players.

Whether you plan on buying some of these jerseys or not, it is nice knowing what digits these rookies might be wearing. While the Steelers organization hasn’t put out their official numbers yet, there are reports swirling about the jersey numbers for all seven players.

Here is a compiled list, from Nick Farabaugh of SteelersNow:

The NFL has released the numbers for 1st Round draft picks the past few years so jersey sales can begin, so Troy Fautanu’s No. 76 will likely stick. Frazier keeping his No. 54 from his days at West Virginia University was open, and likely will remain.

After that, it’s anyone’s guess if these rookies will keep their numbers or change it up if/when they make the 53-man roster and more numbers become available.

However, Roman Wilson’s No. 10 seems to fit well, and was last worn by quarterback Mitch Trubisky. Payton Wilson’s No. 41 and Logan Lee’s No. 74 are currently duplicate numbers on the roster. For those who don’t know, with a 90-man offseason roster, you are allowed to have duplicate numbers during training camp/preseason play.

Mason McCormick’s No. 66 is not currently used, and neither is Ryan Watts’ No. 29, last worn by Levi Wallace last season.

Will these players keep these numbers, or will they be given different numbers. It’s important to remember these are just reports, so be sure to stay tuned to SCN for the latest news and notes surrounding the Steelers as they prepare for the 2024 regular season.
