Steelers escape Las Vegas with the win, and without major injury

The Pittsburgh Steelers were winners in Week 3 on the road vs. the Las Vegas Raiders by the score of 23-18 on Sunday Night Football. It was their second straight win of the season, and moves their record to 2-1 heading into Week 4.

Nonetheless, one of the best things of the Steelers win was the fact they were able to escape the game without major injuries. However, that doesn’t mean there weren’t injuries, but those which Mike Tomlin labeled as “bumps and bruises” following the game.

Two players left the game with unspecified injuries, and they were cornerback Levi Wallace and running back Najee Harris. Following the game Tomlin made sure to note both were able to return to the game. Harris getting big-time carries on the game’s final drive, and Wallace having the game-clinching interception on the Raiders’ final drive.

As always, Tomlin added there would likely be some others who would be dealing with some other nagging injuries as the team returns to Pittsburgh and gets back to a normal work week after having to prepare for this prime time game following a Monday night game in Week 3.

What’s next for the Steelers? Another road trip, but this time to play the Houston Texans in Texas in Week 3. The Texans stunned the Jacksonville Jaguars in Week 3, and it should be a good matchup for the Steelers as they hope to continue to improve in every aspect of the game as the season progresses.
