Texas Tech Soccer Wins Big 12 Title

The Texas Tech Red Raiders have been having a dream season in one fall sport, soccer. The ladies have been both extremely tough defensively, led by goalkeeper Madison White, and red hot offensively. Really, with all the bad on the football field it only figures that the sport the rest of the world calls football is where Tech would find success.

The 6th ranked Red Raiders took on Iowa State tonight, and with the 1-0 victory officially claimed the Big 12 crown. The Red Raiders finish the regular season with a 14-0-4 overall record and a 7-0-2 record in conference play. The season was both historic for the regular season title, the first ever in program history, but also for the possibility (and likely one at that) of claiming a 2 seed in the NCAA torunament.

Congratulations to the Red Raiders on their incredible season, the show goes as the focus shifts to postseason play. Wreck ‘Em!
