Red Raiders Bully Bearcats

Texas Tech is fighting for their postseason lives in Arlington, with the loser’s bracket now their home. Up against UC, Tech was looking to rebound from a sloppy game with no offense. And they turned in quite the rebound performance.

Ryan Free was sublime in the game, throwing his longest career outing at 6.2 IP, allowing only 4 hits with 4 Ks. Free Kept the Bearcats tamed while the big bats did the work. Tech would drop 3 and then 5 in the first two innings, and from there they never looked back. Survive and advance is the name of the game, and after the ugliness against Oklahoma State at the dish, it felt good to see the team surge out offensively.

It takes a ton of pressure off a shaky staff to have a big lead to defend instead of being stuck in a dogfight. The team will play on Arlington, looking for more life in their season.
