Knee-jerk Reactions are immediate responses to a situation without taking the time to analyze the situation. That’s something as sports fans that we typically do. Especially if you are a full blood Yinzer, or even just a part Yinzer. As is the custom, I compile my knee jerk thoughts and publish them immediately after each Steelers game. It’s my version of running my mouth first and apologizing later (or not apologizing at all). So with that being said, I’m going to employ that philosophy here during the 2024 NFL Draft.

• Anyone want to guess on how long the boos for Roger Godell will last? I am going with 12 seconds.
• Here we go!
• Godell only booed for about 7-8 seconds, as it switched to cheers for Eminem.
• The whole thing here at the beginning with the Lions players is absolutely ridiculous. The only good part about it was Barry Sanders.
• There’s a surprise, I might die of a heart attack from that surprise! The Bears took Caleb Williams. That was sarcasm if nobody picked up on that.
• Commanders follow the script and take Jaylen Daniels.
• Three straight QB’s, as the Cheatriots take Maye.
• Not a single surprise yet, as Marvin Harrison Jr. heads for the desert.
• Chargers take OT Joe Alt. Protection for Justin Herbert.
• All offense so far……Malik Nabers to the G-men.
• Another OT at seven……no defensive players yet.
• Atlanta breaks up what has been boring so far, and take Michael Penix Jr.
• Odunze at 9. No single digit defensive players.
• Our first trade as the Jets trade with Vikings……Vikes move up one spot.
• Vikes take J.J. McCarthy. No defense in the top 10.
• One of Dave’s F-takles is off the board. Fashanu at 11 to the Jets.
• Bo Nix to the Broncos. This is allowing more talent to fall to the Steelers at 20.
• Raiders take Brock Bowers. Still no defensive players.
• Another of Dave’s F-tackles as Fuaga is off the board.
• Finally a defensive player at 15. Latu the edge rusher from UCLA finally gets the defensive side of the ball on the board.
• Another defender. Byron Murphy, DL.
• Jacksonville trade back and the Vikings come up and take Dallas Turner edge rusher.
• Bengals take Amarius Mims. Another OT.
• Rams take the edge rusher from Florida State.
• Steelers on the clock!!!
• The Steelers take Troy Fautanu. Offensive Lineman.
• Building the trenches.

There you have it, my knee jerks. I’m going to sleep on this and see how how I feel about it in the morning.
