Friday Night Steelers Six Pack: Let’s get this party started!

It’s finally here.

The Pittsburgh Steelers play a regular season game in less than 48 hours, and it’s time to see what this team is really made of. It’s been a long nine months since the Steelers saw their last meaningful game action. But now it’s here and, if you’re at all like me, the excitement is almost uncontainable.

I could go on and on about the anticipation for this game, but instead let’s get to the questions.

1. The 49ers are as close to full strength as they could expect. Nick Bosa is back, Brock Purdy’s elbow has not been a story, but George Kittle is questionable for the game with a groin injury. How much do you put into the opponent’s availability this early in the season, or is it more about the health and execution of the Steelers?

2. Alex Highsmith has one of the toughest matchups of the season going up against Trent Williams while T.J. Watt is going up against a fairly unproven right side of the 49ers offensive line. How many combined sacks do you think the Steelers starting OLB duo will get on Sunday? Feel free to give individual numbers.

3. Do you have any particular Steelers attire you plan on wearing during the game on Sunday?

4. Who will have more receiving yards in Sunday’s game: Diontae Johnson or George Pickens?

5. The Steelers have a number of rookies who will contribute at least for a limited number of snaps in their first game. While none may get a start depending on the personnel packages the Steelers start in on either side of the ball, which rookie (including Calvin Austin who is playing in his first NFL game) do you think will see the most snaps on either offense or defense?

6. Outside of the Steelers game at 1 PM on Sunday, what other NFL game do you think is the most intriguing? Or are you Steelers all the way and don’t even know who anybody else is playing?

That’s all I have for this one! Next week we’ll be one game down at looking ahead to Monday Night Football. Let’s not wish it all away to fast.

And I have to finish it off with a… GO STEELERS!!
