Arthur Maulet slated to sign with the Baltimore Ravens

Throughout the 2023 offseason, the Pittsburgh Steelers have seen several players leave with questions surrounding their departure. In some cases, like Jamir Jones, the news of his release was followed with him having some legal troubles off the field.

In other instances the release of a player has many questioning what really happened.

Wide receiver Anthony Miller’s release would fall into this category, and so would the release of cornerback Arthur Maulet.

During the 2023 NFL Draft the Steelers signed Chandon Sullivan, and it was reported that Maulet then asked for his release. The Steelers granted his wish, and until now he remained a free agent on the open market. However, as of Monday evening, it seems as if Maulet has a new home and it should be somewhat familiar.

It seems Maulet is following the Mike Hilton route by staying in the AFC North, and while Hilton joined the Cincinnati Bengals, Maulet is reported to be going to the Baltimore Ravens.

This per Cameron Wolfe:

Maulet played the last two seasons with the Steelers after the team signed him following his release from the New York Jets.

Will he make the Ravens’ roster? That has yet to be seen, but judging by his social media activity following his release, he’d love nothing more than to get a shot at his former team in 2023.
