Kenny Pickett was unable to finish the Steelers game last Sunday due to a knee injury. Fortunately it is only a bone bruise and Pickett was able to practice on Wednesday in a limited fashion and said after practice he plans to play this Sunday. On Thursday and Friday Pickett was a full participant and has no injury status for Sunday.

Two players who are not as fortunate as Pickett are offensive tackle Dan Moore Jr. with a knee injury and tight end Pat Freiermuth with a hamstring. Moore has already been ruled out for this week and Mike Tomlin said in his press conference on Tuesday that Freiermuth is doubtful to play. As expected, neither player practiced all week and both have been ruled out.

Defensive tackle DeMarvin Leal is in the NFL’s concussion protocol and did not practice on Wednesday. Thursday saw Leal return in a limited capacity which left the possibility of his return for Sunday, but Friday saw Leal unable to practice and he has been ruled out.

Two players who missed the Steelers Week 4 matchup were guard James Daniels with a groin injury and punter Pressley Harvin III who is dealing with a hamstring. All week, neither player was able to return to practice and they are both out again fro Week 5.

A player who was not expected to be on the report is linebacker Cole Holcomb who was limited on Wednesday with a back injury. Additionally, Chuks Okorafor did not practice Wednesday with an elbow issue, something that limited his practice participation last week as well. On Thursday and Friday, both players were full participants and have no injury designation.

A new name to the injury report on Thursday was Steelers outside linebacker Alex Highsmith with a groin injury. The fact Highsmith was unable to practice in any capacity was concerning, but Friday saw Highsmith return as a limited participant. Although he he listed as questionable for Sunday, Highsmith told the media he will be playing.

Friday also saw a new name on the list as Najee Harris was limited with a hamstring. Despite being new to the report, Harris does not have an injury status for the game and will play.
