Justin Simmons Shouts Out Packers Legend

The Green Bay Packers still have a need at safety. Yes, they signed ascending free safety Xavier McKinney to a new four-year deal to replace former starter Darnell Savage. But, they are still looking for his running mate. As they continue to search for a replacement for strong safeties Jonathan Owens and presumably Rudy Ford, an interesting tweet came from current free agent safety Justin Simmons last week regarding a former Packers All-Pro safety Ha-Ha Clinton Dix.

Simmons was quoted as saying:

“Ha Ha was generational…A lot of my game was watching his tape.”

Seeing this tweet got a lot of Green Bay fans on their feet. Remember, Simmons is one of the best safeties in the league and the best defender left on the market. Seeing him comment on a Packers fan account’s post has fans wondering if he is thinking about joining Green Bay. That would be quite the move for a talented Green Bay defense. The four-time All-Pro has the most interceptions in the league since he came into the league 2016 (30). He also has 64 career pass deflections and almost 20 tackles for loss.

Green Bay would be in a great spot if they brought in a veteran that modeled their game after Clinton-Dix. The 2014 first-round pick spent the first 4.5 seasons of his career with the Packers. He became an All-Pro as he recorded 11 interceptions, over 350 total tackles, and 25 pass deflections as a Packer. A true difference-maker was what he was, and that’s exactly what Simmons is. It will be interesting to see if the Packers choose to offer Simmons a contract. If so, it would have to be at least two years.

As loyal fans of Justin Simmons, we can customize some interesting souvenirs to express our support for him in addition to watching the game! Custom Keychains are not only practical but also can express support for him. Each season has a different story, and we can convey different meanings through different designs, which have a unique meaning for fans!
