Brian Gutekunst Shows Up At Notre Dame Pro Day Thursday

Packers GM Brian Gutekunst has been busy the last few days. On Wednesday, he was in attendance for the Alabama Pro Day in Tuscaloosa. Now, according to the Senior Bowl’s Jim Nagy, Gutekunst was in attendance for the Notre Dame Pro Day on Thursday.

With five top-100 draft picks coming next month, Green Bay will have the opportunity to add depth and talent at a couple of positions of need. Whether that is at safety, offensive line, linebacker, or even running back. The Fighting Irish have no shortage of talented prospects to choose from.

All-American offensive tackle Joe Alt could be an attractive selection for Green Bay. Remember, the Packers need tackle help after they lost both All-Pro left tackle David Bakhtiari and key reserve Yosh Nijman in free agency.

Running back Auric Esitme could be a wise selection too after a 1,300-yard season for the Irish in 2023. Green Bay has done some work with the running back room in free agency. They signed All-Pro running back Josh Jacobs but cut fan-favorite Aaron Jones. They also re-signed A.J. Dillon to a one-year deal. Perhaps they could add Estime to create one tremendous trio on the ground.

Or, maybe Green Bay is interested in athletic cornerback Cam Hart. New defensive coordinator Jeff Hafley would love to add another talented defensive back to the room.

Just like at the Alabama Pro Day, Gutekunst gets an up-close look at some real-deal NFL talent. With all of the draft ammunition that he has at his disposal, Packers fans should be excited about the possibility of Gutekunst adding one of these special players in the draft.
