Around the AFC South: Week 2

The Tennessee Titans snapped their eight-game losing streak that dated back to last season with a 27-24 win over the Los Angeles Chargers in Nashville. Ryan Tannehill bounced back in this one. After throwing three interceptions in New Orleans last week, he was 20-24 for 246 yards and a touchdown. He also added a rushing touchdown in the win. The Titans rushed for 141 yards on the day with 80 of those yards coming from Derrick Henry. He also added a rushing touchdown. The Titans travel to Cleveland next week to take on the Browns.

Jacksonville suffered their first loss of the season at home to the Kansas City Chiefs. The Jaguars were only able to manage three field goals in the 17-9 loss. Trevor Lawrence was just 22 of 41 on the day for 216 yards. 110 of those yards went to Christian Kirk. The Jaguars defense played well for most of the day, but it is tough to win against Patrick Mahomes and the Kansas City Chiefs when your offense does not score a touchdown. The Jaguars play host to the Houston Texans next week.

The Indianapolis Colts got their first win of the season 31-20 over the Houston Texans. Colts rookie quarterback Anthony Richardson was forced to leave the game in the second quarter after he suffered a concussion. He did score two rushing touchdowns before leaving the game. Gardner Minshew replaced Richardson and threw for 174 yards and a touchdown. Texans rookie quarterback C.J. Stroud threw for a career-high 384 yards in the loss. Nico Collins was the major beneficiary hauling in seven catches for 146 yards and a touchdown. The Colts take on the Baltimore Ravens next week while the Texans play the Jaguars.
