Steelers rookie wide receiver Roman Wilson takes in NFLPA Rookie Premiere

The NFL is preparing for the 2024 regular season, and that means the young rookies are looking to get acclimated to life in the NFL.

One way they are preparing, or at least a handful of players, is the annual Rookie Premier. This NFLPA event is the first look for many players wearing their new uniforms.

For the Pittsburgh Steelers, it was 3rd Round wide receiver Roman Wilson who got the call from the NFLPA to be a representative at the event.

Take a first look at Wilson wearing the black-and-gold for the first time.

This is just the beginning for players like Wilson, but seeing them in their new uniforms is certainly exciting.

Next step? Organized Team Activities (OTAs), mandatory minicamp, and then training camp at Saint Vincent College in Latrobe, PA.

This year is certainly an improvement for the Steelers at the NFLPA rookie premiere considering last year the event didn’t have a Pittsburgh representative, for whatever reason. Possibly no initiation was sent, or one wasn’t accepted. Either way, the Steelers rookies finally get some long-awaited love at this event.
