Steelers expected to add a CB to their roster

The Pittsburgh Steelers roster has been set, but it’s far from finalized. The team doesn’t just currently carry two punters, but also is constantly looking for ways to improve their overall roster.

It is now being reported the Steelers are looking to add a player at a position of need. According to Ian Rapoport of the NFL Network, the Steelers are expected to sign Desmond King, formerly of the Houston Texans.

Last season King played in all 17 games for Houston, and registered 2 interceptions, 8 pass defenses and 2 fumble recoveries.

How will the Steelers make room for King? They could cut/trade a punter, or release a player they deem to be dispensable, as it pertains to their regular season roster.

This is likely just the first move of many to be made on Wednesday, so be sure to stay tuned to SCN for all the latest news and notes surrounding the Steelers as they prepare for the San Francisco 49ers in Week 1 of the 2023 regular season.
