Steelers and the city of Pittsburgh officially put in a bid for 2026 or 2027 NFL Draft

With the NFL now officially in their month-long offseason, most fans are looking at how their teams can improve their rosters. Sure, there is free agency, but the biggest event on the NFL calendar outside of the Super Bowl is the NFL Draft. Since the league decided to leave Radio City Music Hall in New York City, they have taken the draft to several different locations.

In 2024 the draft will be held in Detroit, and in 2025 Green Bay, Wisconsin will hold the draft festivities.

As for where the draft will be in 2026 or 2027, that has yet to be determined. However, for Pittsburgh Steelers fans there is a chance one of those two years the draft could be held in Pittsburgh. The Steelers announced they have officially submitted a bid for the draft to be in Pittsburgh in 2026 and 2027.

Will the Steelers be awarded the draft? That obviously has yet to be determined, but it isn’t just the Steelers who would benefit from the event taking place in the Pittsburgh, the city itself would benefit with a weekend full of fans traveling to the city to watch the 3-day selection process unfold. It would be a huge boost for the entire city of Pittsburgh infrastructure.
