NFL finally gets it right, rescinds one of Jaylen Warren’s fines

The National Football League is cracking down on certain aspects of the game this season, and the league has been handing out fines to players like candy gets dished out on Halloween. Fines are nothing new in the NFL, but the amount of money that has been levied to players has been remarkable.

For the Pittsburgh Steelers, one player, Jaylen Warren, has felt the wrath of the league, and for no real reason. This isn’t a James Harrison situation where his questionable tactics resulted in the league eventually suspending him due to his play on the field. The league was fining Warren for making football plays, and punishing him for his literal size.

After being fined $48k for pass blocking, Warren and his agent David Canter appealed the fine and were successful after the appeal process was concluded.

This per Tom Pelissero of the NFL Network:

While Warren got a game check back into his bank account, two more Steelers lost money for plays made in the loss to the Arizona Cardinals in Week 13. Those two players would be Elandon Roberts and Miles Killebrew.

Check out the totals of the fines, per Nick Farabaugh:

These fines aren’t going anywhere, and it will be up to the individual players to either accept the fine, likely the case with Roberts in Week 13, or to appeal the fine and hope they can have a similar result as Warren did after his appeal process was reviewed.
