Around the NFC West: Week 8

The Arizona Cardinals got a last-second field goal to give them a 28-27 win over the Miami Dolphins on Sunday. Kyler Murray threw for 307 yards and two touchdowns. Trey McBride and Marvin Harrison Jr. combined for 15 catches for 235 yards and a touchdown in the victory. The Cardinals will look to stay atop the division when they host the Chicago Bears in week nine.

Brock Purdy had a nice bounceback game throwing for 260 yards and a touchdown in the San Francisco 49ers 30-24 win over the Dallas Cowboys. His favorite target in the game was George Kittle who caught six passes for 128 yards and a touchdown. The 49ers racked up 223 rushing yards led by Isaac Gerendo’s 14 carries for 85 yards and a touchdown. The 49ers have their bye in week nine.

It was a tough day for Geno Smith and the Seattle Seahawks offense in their 31-10 loss to the Buffalo Bills. Geno Smith threw for 212 yards with no touchdowns and an interception. Without D.K. Metcalf due to an injury, Jaxon Smith-Njigba led the way with six catches for 69 yards. The Seattle defense was gashed on the ground by the Buffalo rushing attack which ended the day with 164 yards rushing and two touchdowns. The Seahawks play the Los Angeles Rams on Sunday.

Speaking of the Rams, the got a 30-20 win over the Minnesota Vikings on Thursday Night Football. Puka Nacua caught seven passes for 106 yards in his first game back from injured reserve. Matthew Stafford threw for 279 yards and four touchdowns in the win. Demarcus Robinson had just two catches but both went for touchdowns.
